In Benidorm most plumbing jobs happen inside apartments, often in blocks with shared risers and neighbours above and below. That changes how a leak is found, how a bathroom is replaced and how work is planned.
Benidorm is a town of high-rise apartment blocks, with an older core of narrower streets behind the seafront. For a plumber, that means working in flats far more often than in houses, and working with the realities of a shared building: water that comes from a common supply, pipes that run through floors belonging to someone else, and access that sometimes has to be arranged in advance.
Dragon Reforms has worked across the north Costa Blanca since 1999, and apartments make up a large part of the repairs and renovations we are asked to look at. Many are owned by people who live elsewhere for much of the year, so we pay particular attention to clear communication and to leaving the property secure and tidy.

Living in a block
A leak in a flat is rarely just your problem. Water can travel along a slab or down a wall and show up in a neighbour’s ceiling, which is why prompt action matters. We aim to find the source quickly, stop the water and repair the pipe or fitting, so the situation does not turn into a dispute between owners.
Working in a block also affects timing. Noisy work, shared stopcocks and lift or stair access all need thought. We plan around these things and tell you what to expect before we start, so you are not surprised on the day.
If the leak turns out to originate from a shared pipe or a neighbour’s flat, we tell you plainly what we have found, so you can take it up with the right party.
Bathrooms and kitchens
Many Benidorm apartments were furnished decades ago and still have their original bathrooms. Replacing a bath with a shower, updating the suite or relocating a basin is a common request, and it is usually combined with new tiling and waterproofing.
Space is tight in most flats, so planning counts. We consider where supply and waste lines need to run, how the floor falls to the drain, and what can reasonably be fitted into the room. Because Dragon Reforms is a renovation firm, we can arrange the other trades alongside the plumbing.
Kitchens follow a similar pattern. New sinks, dishwashers and washing machines need correct supply and waste connections, and old flexible hoses and worn valves are replaced as part of the job rather than left to fail later.
Water and heating
Hard water scales up the heating elements of water heaters and the aerators on taps. In a flat that is used heavily for short periods, such as a rental or a holiday let, the heater works hard and wears quickly. Replacing it with a unit suited to the number of users usually pays off.
Flats left empty over winter bring a different set of problems. Seals dry, taps seize and stale water sits in the pipes. A check before you return, covering valves, flexible hoses, the heater and any visible pipework, can save a lot of trouble.

You describe the problem and tell us which building and floor the flat is on. We arrange a visit, look at the plumbing and discuss what you want. The written quotation that follows is free and sets out the scope of the work.
If you are not in Spain, we can arrange access with your agreed contact, keep you updated with photographs and messages, and test everything before we leave. Our work is guaranteed, with the scope covered in the quotation.
