Benissa covers an old town, country fincas and villas along the coast, and a villa job here starts with working out which of those you own.
Benissa is spread out. The old town has its streets of traditional houses, the countryside around it has fincas, and the villas sit mainly along the coast.
The distinction matters for renovation. A coastal villa is usually more modern and more regular, while a finca has thicker walls, a different layout and its own demands. The trades are the same, but the approach is not.
This page is about the villas. Most of the questions we hear start from the same place: how much of the house should change, and how much should be left alone. We try to answer that honestly after seeing it.
Villa or finca?
Some houses are described as villas that are really converted country properties, and some fincas have been so heavily modernised they behave like villas. We look at the building itself and not the description.
That affects the work: how the walls are repaired, what finishes suit them, how damp is treated and whether the structure can be opened up.

Outdoor living
Coastal villas in Benissa often have generous outdoor space, and owners want it to work as another room: dining, cooking, lounging and swimming.
That means terraces with proper waterproofing, paving that is safe around the pool, drainage that copes with heavy rain and, if wanted, a built-in barbecue or outdoor kitchen with services run to it.

Whole-house plans
Owners here often want to do more than refresh. They open the kitchen to the terrace, add a bedroom suite, or replace every window and door at once.
Treating it as a single project keeps decisions consistent. The layout, services, windows and finishes are agreed together, and the order of work is fixed before anything is demolished.
It also helps with budgeting, because the quotation covers the whole plan and any stages are clear.
How it works
We visit the property, work out whether it is a villa job or a finca job, and discuss what you want. The written quotation is free. We also say at this stage if something in the house needs attention before the main work starts, such as damp, drainage or a roof problem, so the quotation reflects the real job.
One manager runs the trades. We speak English and Spanish, update owners abroad by phone and photographs, and guarantee the work, with the scope set out in the quotation.
