Pergolas & Outdoor Living Albir
Albir homes are often used part of the year, so outdoor structures need to cope when nobody is there. We build shade that survives absences, with finishes and fittings chosen for easy care.
Between the promenade and the Sierra Helada hills, Albir is full of holiday and second homes: apartments near the sea, and villas rising up the slopes. Many stand empty for weeks, then fill with family and guests, and the terrace takes the full burden of that pattern.
An unused terrace still weathers. Sun fades finishes, wind rattles loose fittings and a dry spell is followed by a downpour. For a structure to stay presentable when you arrive, it must be built for neglect, with robust treatments, simple details and hardware that does not need regular adjustment.
We keep that in mind from the first sketch. Choices about timber, finish, roofing and floor are made with an owner who is away in mind, and we are open about what upkeep remains. A pergola that needs one annual look is realistic. One that needs monthly care is not.
