Between the hills of Alfaz del Pi and the seafront at Albir you find villas, townhouse-style homes and apartment buildings, many lived in through the year. Owners who stay for the winter use their systems much more than visitors do, so running costs, comfort and noise carry real weight.
That makes efficiency the main question. An inverter unit sized properly for the room will usually be quieter and steadier than an oversized or older one, and it can serve for heating as well as cooling.

Living here all year
If you spend the winter here, a heat pump is not an optional extra. Rooms on the north side of a villa, and apartments that receive little sun, can feel cold on an overcast day. Heating that comes from the same unit that cools in summer makes good practical sense.
Because the units run for long periods, quality of installation and setting matters. A good timer and sensible temperature settings stop a unit working harder than it needs to, and we show you how to set it up before we leave.
Long-term use also means servicing is not a luxury. Filters in a lived-in home gather dust faster than those in a holiday flat.
Quiet operation
Sound is often the first complaint about a poor installation. The indoor unit should be quiet enough to sleep beside, and the outdoor unit should sit where its hum does not travel to your bedroom window or your neighbour’s terrace.
Inverter models generally run more quietly at low speeds, but their placement and fixing matter just as much. Loose brackets and vibrating pipework turn a quiet unit into a noisy one.

Villas and apartments
In a villa we often choose a multi-split or several single units, depending on the layout. On the hillsides there is usually room for the outdoor unit on a terrace or low roof, away from where you sit.
In an apartment, particularly near the Albir seafront, the balcony usually hosts the outdoor unit. Check what your community and the owners will permit before work starts, and bear in mind salt in the air. We plan the drain and fixings with neighbours in mind.
If you are replacing an older fixed-speed unit, we can often make use of existing routes, though condition decides this.
How it works
We start by talking through how you live in the property: which rooms you use, when, and what bothers you about the present arrangement. We look at the layout and agree a plan. The quotation is free and clearly sets out the units, the work and the price.
Installation or repair is then scheduled at a convenient time, which for residents often means working around daily life. We test the system, explain the controls and clear up. The work is guaranteed, with the scope set out in the quotation.

For most residents, yes. A reverse-cycle unit warms a room quickly on cool days. Results depend on the room and its insulation.
Choose a suitable inverter model, size it correctly and place and fix both units carefully. We pay attention to all three.
