Painting & Plastering Polop
Polop is a small inland village, and a good part of its housing is old. Plastering and painting there often means working with the wall that exists, not replacing it.
Village houses tend to have thick walls, small rooms and surfaces that have been patched over generations. They also tend to be cooler and sometimes damper than coastal flats, since there is less sea breeze drying them out and more stone retaining moisture.
Around the village, hillside villas are newer and closer in character to those elsewhere on the Costa Blanca, with large rendered facades and terraces.
Our job in Polop is usually to read the building: understand what it is made of, what has been done to it before, and what it needs now.
