Polop is a small inland village where apartments are fewer than houses, often in small blocks or converted village buildings.
Unlike the big coastal towns, Polop is made up mostly of older village houses and hillside villas. Apartments here are a smaller part of the picture, found in small blocks or in divided older buildings.
That has practical consequences. With few owners in the building, decisions are quicker, but older construction can hide surprises. A good survey up front matters more than a big programme. Bringing an older flat up to modern standards is mostly careful, unglamorous work: sound walls, safe wiring, reliable water and a finish that suits the building.

Older buildings
Flats in older village buildings often have thick walls, original beams and services installed piece by piece over the years. Wiring and pipework may not reflect any single plan.
We open up carefully, record what we find and adjust the plan accordingly. If damp is present, we deal with the cause before finishing.
These flats can be rewarding. With sound structure and good light, a careful reform gives a characterful home.
Partial reforms
Many owners in Polop choose targeted work over a complete rebuild: a new kitchen, a refitted bathroom, replaced floors, or a rewire and repaint. We quote for the selected scope and tell you if neighbouring work would be better done together.
Because there are fewer owners and less shared infrastructure, the logistics are simpler than in a tall coastal block. Access is usually the main point to plan. We tell you at the quotation stage which parts are straightforward and which depend on what we find once work starts.
Joinery suits older flats well. Built-in storage and well-fitted doors make the most of awkward spaces.
Owners and use
Polop attracts owners from the UK, Scandinavia, the Netherlands and Germany who want a quieter base inland. Many visit a few times a year, so a reform has to be managed remotely.
We send photos and progress updates by phone, make the day-to-day decisions with you and deal with suppliers in English and Spanish.
When the work is done, the flat is cleaned and ready to use.

We look at the flat in person or from photos and plans, discuss the work and send a free quotation with the scope set out. If you cannot visit, a short video call or photos of each room are enough to begin.
