Careful electrical work for Altea’s steep old town houses and its villas along the coast, where access and finish both matter.
Altea climbs a hillside, and its old town is a tangle of narrow lanes, steps and whitewashed houses. Getting tools, materials and cable into such a place is the first challenge of any electrical job, long before the wiring itself.
Below and around the old town, villas look out over the coast. Their needs are quite different: terraces, outdoor lighting, pools and larger air conditioning loads. Altea is therefore a town where the right approach depends heavily on which side of the hill you live.
We have worked across the north Costa Blanca since 1999 and adapt to both. The aim is the same everywhere: a safe, well-planned installation that looks right and is easy to understand later.
Old town houses
Older houses on a hillside often have walls of considerable thickness and floors at several levels. Cable that was added room by room over many years may be hard to trace, and the board may sit in an inconvenient spot.
A part or full rewire gives you something simpler: circuits planned for how you live now, sockets where you need them and a board you can reach. We plan routes to protect original features where we can, and agree in advance where making good will be needed.
Because deliveries and waste have to move by hand through narrow lanes, we plan the job in stages. That keeps neighbours undisturbed and keeps the work orderly.
Coastal villas
A villa with a view usually comes with an outdoor life to match, so electrical planning stretches beyond the walls. External sockets, terrace and garden lighting, pool equipment and gate or entrance supplies all need to be sited and protected properly.
Salt in the air and strong sun are hard on exposed fittings. We choose sensibly for the conditions and seal and fix them so they last, rather than treating outdoor work as an afterthought.
Lighting is often where villa owners get the most enjoyment. Well-judged fittings along steps, paths and terraces make a hillside property both safer to move around and nicer in the evening.
Second homes
Many Altea properties are lived in only part of the year. An empty house with ageing wiring is a risk nobody is present to notice, so a check before a long absence is well worth doing.
Security lighting, reliable power for cameras and sensible circuit protection all help to make the house more secure when it is closed up. We can also set up simple remote control for lighting or cooling.
We are used to working with owners abroad. We agree the plan in writing and keep you informed as the work progresses.

We visit first, because access and the state of the existing installation decide a great deal. In the old town that often includes walking the route cable and equipment will take.
